Sasha David
MAN. RD
My mission is to help empower people to improve their relationship with food and their body so that they can enjoy what they eat, create healthy habits, and live guilt-free! I love food, and I believe there are countless ways to add flavour and joy with cooking to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
From a young age, I always knew I wanted to be a Registered Dietitian when I discovered I was lactose intolerant and had a difficult time making meals and snacks that did not involve dairy. Try telling a kid they could no longer have ice cream and see how well that goes! With this new realization, I became more passionate about helping people with their dietary needs while living a balanced healthy lifestyle.
I graduated from the University of Guelph where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition in 2016. Shortly after in 2019, I received my Master of Nutrition (MAN), the accredited dietetic internship/practicum program, at the University of Guelph. I am registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Dietitians of Canada.
I have experience working in a range of environments from geriatrics, general nutrition, weight management, and health promotion, counseling clients of all ages. My areas of counseling include digestive health, vegetarian/plant-based diet, food allergies/intolerances, healthy eating and lifestyle, sustainable weight management, nutrition for exercise and sports performance, heart and kidney disease, diabetes, low iron, and bone health.
In my spare time, you will find me in the kitchen baking and decorating custom cakes, or outdoors hiking.
I look forward to working with you to support you on a journey to eating well and loving your life!
